Hydroderm – Its Ingredients and How it Works
Hydroderm Wrinkle Serum consists of a combination of marine collagen and something called Vyo-Serum. The official website explains that this serum is a combination of select proteins which act as an “instant lifting serum”. The tensing action helps minimize the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The Vyo-serum also contains a skin smoothing agent.
According to the Hydroderm website, the serum contains 50% pure marine collagen. Collagen is a heavy weight molecule and usually has trouble penetrating the skin. The website states that Hydroderm is the “only product clinically proven to carry collagen directly to the skin without injections”.
The website is informative and professional. It provides before and after pics, complete ingredients lists, testimonials, and an FAQ page. There is even a page with a cosmetic surgeon endorsing the product.
The directions for use say to apply Hydroderm Wrinkle Serum to a freshly washed face twice a day, once in the morning and once at night, though it does inform us it may be applied up to 4 times a day if you choose. With consistent use, results should be visible within 7-14 days.

Our biggest concern about the serum is that it contains numerous parabens, so we have to warn against its use if you have sensitive skin.
