Guerlain Abeille Royale Night Cream-Worth It?

Guerlain Abeille Royale Night Cream Overview:

Guerlain Abeille Royale Night Cream is meant to be a rich, firming, anti aging moisturizer all bundled up into a nice fancy jar. It’s prides itself on being a royal concentrate extracted from the healing power of bee products that helps to repair wrinkles and tissue firmness by 63% in 16hrs, when really it’s filled with mostly bee byproducts and an unnecessary overload of fragrances and really doesn’t do the trick.

This however, is typical when it comes to Guerlain skincare products. Most of the time they are extremely overpriced. This company cant seem to get away from jar packaging, making ingredients very unstable.

Guerlain Abeille Royale Night Cream Ingredients:

  • Pure Royale Concentrate- Jelly like ingredient that allows for a very smooth application leaving the skin refreshed and hydrated
  • Pentylene Glycol, Mel (Honey)- Honey is a humectant – it draws and binds water from the air into your skin; hydrates and softens skin
  • Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax- Antioxidant; locks in moisture, fosters cells and protects skin from environmental damage
  • Mica- Enhances skin tone and provides a pearly, dewy effect.

Guerlain Abeille Royale Night Cream Cons: Guerlain Abeille Royale Night Cream

Where to Buy Guerlain Abeille Royale Night Cream:

You can find Guerlain Abeille Royale Night Cream in high end department stores such as Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom. Some Dillards stores also carry Guerlain. The product can also be found on the Guerlain website and department store websites. It comes in a 1.7 oz jar for $172.00.

A product similar and less expensive than Guerlain Abeille Royale Night Cream is Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lift and Firm Night Cream.

Guerlain Abeille Royale Night Cream Conclusion:

Overall, Guerlain Abeille Royale Night Cream is an overpriced product. The only true benefit that you really get is for the skin to be hydrated, but there are a lot of other products out there that can do that for your skin without you having to spend an arm and a leg. With all the fragrances in the cream, if your skin is sensitive, this is not the product for you.

Q: After using Guerlain Abeille Rayale night cream after one month my face became darker. Does it tan the skin. When I stopped using it I got my complexion back. But I am using Guerlain night creams since the last 30 years. At the age of 63 I got a good skin -Ashalatha valsalan

A: Ashalatha, wow that's a strange side effect. Does it contain hydroquinone? I would discontinue the use of that cream and I know it's super expensive and a tanning of the skin is definitely not a desired effect for anti-aging. I would return it. Sometimes they change ingredients and it sounds like they may have if you've been using it for 30 years and haven't had this happen. Thanks for your comment. Rachel

I’ve used this and others 3 x the price- I’d use this line any day over LaMer or LaPrairie. It smells nice- the ingredients are exclusive and from an isolated located in europe. The best products in this line are the toner, youth watery oil and the double R serum- all 3 of these can be used with moisturizers from any brand but of course are optimized with those in the same line. I’ve sold cosmetics in the high end expensive stores I can actually speak to the efficacy of this product. Thanks.
