Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum Review

How effective can an all organic serum really be? Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum is manufactured by the company Avalon Organics, which makes a large all natural skincare line.  Certified by QAI to NSF/KNSI 305 The American National Standard for personal care products containing organic ingredients, their cosmetic line is cruelty free and 100% vegetarian.

The antioxidants in the Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum act as energizers to fight free radicals that cause aging, and promote cellular renewal to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. COQ10 is an important antioxidant that exists in every cell of your body, and is the source of energy for cell growth. They claim that sluggish cells are re-energized so that skin feels healthier, and the production of collagen and elastin is supported.

These antioxidants are powerful, and ease oxidative stress that is commonly known to lessen other signs of aging, such as discoloration and ashy skin tone. However, the reviews are mostly poor, and we will get to what women are saying later.

Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum Ingredients:

Before I fire off all of the so called powerful ingredients, know that for the most part these ingredients are good, but they don’t interact well with each other which tends to irritate the skin.

  • Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice- Soothes the skin
  • Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil- Healing; contains vitamins that nourish the skinAvalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum
  • Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter- Hydrates dry skin but can often clog pores
  • Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil- Increases circulation in the skin
  • Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil-Hydrates the skin
  • Lavender extract – soothes the skin for some, highly irritating to others

Other ingredients:

Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum Pros

An obvious pro to the Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum is that it is a certified organic product. It is also relatively inexpensive, which we all love. The fragrance of the botanical oils gives you that “spa-like” feeling.

Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum Cons

The complaints for Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum are a little more lengthy. Women are saying that the old formulation is a lot better. There are complaints that the new formula which includes sunscreen makes the product leave a sticky residue.  The sunscreen also can make your skin look ghostly, and will reflect in photographs. Many say that the pump that is on the new formulation isn’t doing its job.

The claim that Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum is very concentrated just isn’t true. The excessive botanical oils irritate the skin making it more difficult to heal and produce healthy collagen. Lavender is a known skin irritant, and the product is also difficult to find.

Where to Buy Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum

You can find Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum 1.75 oz for $17.48 on Amazon. You can get free shipping on orders over $25.00. You can also find it on the brands website for $26.99.

Avalon Organics CoQ10 Repair Wrinkle Defense Serum Conclusion

If you are on a budget and will only use organic skincare, then you could give this product a try. However, in my humble opinion, it seems like a waste of time and money and botanicals can often cause redness and irritation, especially to sensitive skin. But for the price, you won’t break the bank if you don’t like it.

Q: I was just wondering what the best anti aging serum is to use for slightly sensitive skin? Also that I would be able to order seeing as none of the salons close to me have anything in Stock! Thank you -Jessica

A: Hi Jessica, I love the Ole Henriksen Vitamin C Truth Serum and I'm a huge fan of Vitamin C, it's so great for your skin!  It works great using it first and then applying my Kollagen Intensiv. These are both great for sensitive skin, and you really need both a serum and a cream.   It's a great combo. I linked to my reviews there. If you decide to purchase just follow the links to their websites at the top or bottom of the reviews. Thanks! ~Rachel
