The real giveaway to someone’s age is often their eyes.  Little lines and crows feet, shadows, and puffiness are all telltale signs of aging.  Eyliplex-2 from Good Skin Labs is a treatment created to help reduce those symptoms and  restore a more youthful look.  Does it effectively rejuvenate the problematic eye area?

When you purchase Eyliplex-2, you actually get two treatments in a dual container that looks like a big contact lens case.  One of the treatments is Fast Acting Day Gel and the other is Long Lasting Night Balm. This regime is supposed to give the skin around the eyes support around the clock.

The day gel is meant to lighten and lift the skin, making it look smoother and less tired. It is said to produce immediate results.  This formula contains Rho-Cite an “exclusive antioxidant and mineral complex”,  Suberlift to fill in lines, and Haloxyl PFE, an ingredient often found in skin lightening formulas.

The Eyliplex-2 night balm also contains Haloxyl PFE. Both products leave a lot to the imagination when it comes to deciphering exact ingredients in the formulas.

They do claim clinical results show that Eyliplex-2 resulted in 64% of participants reporting an immediate improvement and younger looking eyes.  After using the products for four weeks, 20% of subjects noticed a visible diminishing of under eye shadows and 31% said their skin was firmer.  Eight weeks of use resulted in 56% saying they could see a lifting of the skin. It is not stated whether the clinical tests were conducted by an independent tester of if the company conducted the tests themselves.

Our Conclusions

This product is affordable and comes in innovative packaging.  It’s convenient to be able to visit your neighborhood Kohl’s store and pick it up.  Unfortunately, we are failed to be impressed by trademark ingredients that don’t really tell us what is in the formula and the clinical test results are not only disappointing but are unable to be verified.  It seems that too much information is being withheld about Eyliplex-2 so we are unable to give it our stamp of approval.  We suggest that you choose an anti-aging eye treatment that is more transparent about what is really in it.

The Eyepothesis website is informative and user friendly.  It does provide a list of ingredients used in both Eyepothesis products and each of the products contain some popular and effective ingredients.  Both formulas contain Longivicell, which reduces wrinkles, and Haloxyl, a patented ingredient which is known to lighten under eye shadows.

The products also contain a number of vitamins and powerful antioxidants, including flax seed and green tea to help protect the skin from the damaging effects of free radicals.  Sweet almond and jojoba oils provide essential fatty acids, moisturizing and softening the area around the eye.  Whether you use just the  Instant Lift Eye Patch, just the eye cream, or the combination, Eyepothesis is said to work in as little as 20 minutes.

The eye patch is a self-sticking patch that you place just beneath your eye.  You may use it for as little as 20 minutes or for greater results you may leave the patches on overnight. The patch is meant to act as a quick lift, with the website comparing the results to Botox.

It is also recommend that for more long term results you use Eyepothesis Extended Rejuvenation Eye Cream as well.  The cream is applied once a day to the area around the eyes.  You should avoid getting either product in direct contact with the eyes.

You may order Eyepothesis from the official website.  The price for a single bottle of the eye cream is $78.41 if you enroll in the autoship program.  This is supposedly 40% off the regular retail price.  However, there was no way to order just an individual bottle.

The eye patches were available to order either in the autoship program or as a one time purchase.  The cost is only $19.41 per package if you join the Eypothesis club but if you choose to order the patches just once you’ll pay a whopping $129.99.

Unfortunately, there have been complaints filed against the company related to their billing processes and difficulty withdrawing from the autoship program.

ProVectin Plus Overview

The area around the eyes is one of the first places signs of aging appear, so many manufacturers develop products meant to camouflage or erase those telltale lines and wrinkles.  ProVectin Plus Eye Cream promises to perform both of those actions plus minimize dark shadows and puffiness around the eyes.  It advertises itself as an affordable alternative to StriVectin, another eye cream that costs at least twice as much.  Does ProVectin Plus work?

ProVectin is sold under the Skin Essentials label, but there’s not much information available about the company.  We do know that they manufacture several anti-aging skin care products with the ProVectin name and they can be purchased at local Walgreens stores or at Walgreens online.

Walgreens does provide a web page that offers some information about this eye cream.  There is a complete ingredients list found there and some very positive customer testimonials.  What’s missing from the page is any clinical proof of  how or why this product works and there are no before and after pictures.

The ingredients include a long line of scientific sounding names.  It does contain a combination of peptides and botanicals  and some of them, like hyaluronic acid, are well known treatments for aging skin.

The product is said to be hypoallergenic and fragrance free.  Of all the customer reviews I read, only one said that they experienced any skin irritation from using ProVectin.

The directions say to apply ProVectin generously around the eyes 2-3 times a day.  It may be worn with or without makeup over it.  We’re told that many women experience results almost immediately and others say you’ll see significant improvement in the appearance of the skin, fine lines will retreat, puffiness decrease, and dark shadows become nearly invisible in about a week.

ProVectin Plus may be purchased at Walgreens.com or Walgreens retail stores for $19.99 for 1 ounce.  It is also available at other websites but usually cost more at those online retailers.  It makes sense to buy it at the cheapest, most convenient place.

ProVectin is easy to find and affordable to purchase from your local Walgreens store or their website.  Although there is little known about the manufacturer of ProVectin, and no clinical trials are available, it still seems like this product would be worth a try.   ProVectin costs significantly less than similar products and the testimonials make me believe it has potential.  Even if you can’t return it, you’ll be out less money than you would be if it doesn’t work than  if you purchased more expensive products that aren’t effective.

Relastin is produced by Revance Therapeutics.  There is an official website for Relastin Eye Silk that provides a great deal of information.  At the website you can learn about the repeat awards Relastin has won from Allure magazine for best anti-wrinkle eye cream and find numerous testimonials by dermatologists.  There is an FAQ page that answers some common consumer questions and a page that tells us why the product works.

According to the manufacturer, Relastin focuses on rejuvenating the growth of elastin in your skin.  Elastin is the component that allows  skin to bounce back from various facial expressions we make.  As we age and skin is exposed more to pollutants and stress, the elastin weakens.  This eye cream contains a patent pending Zinc Firming Complex that has reportedly been clinically proven to increase the elastin in skin. This formula is used in the Eye Silk as well as a few other skin care products that Revance is relaunching this year.

The website tells us that though other products may have elastin or protein fibers in them, those fibers are too large to penetrate the skin and make a real difference in the skin’s elasticity.  Relastin differs from those products because it is able to penetrate the upper layer of skin and reach the connective tissues in the dermis and therefore is more effective at boosting elastin levels.

The Eye Silk is said to be safe for all skin types, hypoallergenic, and fragrance free. It is recommended that Relastin be applied once or twice a day.  The website reports that in clinical testing the majority of participants saw noticeable improvements in their skin in  30 days or less.

Want to know about one of the “beauty secrets of the stars”? Eyesential Under Eye Enhancer claims to have been used by celebrities for over 30 years and now you can  use Eyesential, too.  The product promises to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and lessen the visibility of dark under eye shadows and puffiness.  Does it live up to its claims or is it just another Hollywood tale?

Eyesential says you’ll look years younger just minutes after you apply this cream.  Skin will tighten, wrinkles will disappear, and those pesky dark circles below your eyes will vanish. According to the manufacturer, this was one of Hollywood makeup artists’ best kept secrets until the product became available on the open market. To support that claim, the Eyesential marketing materials include a list of celebrities that have used the product, superstars like Sara Jessica Parker, Madonna, Brad Pitt, and George Clooney.

Unfortunately, that is almost all the information about Eyesential available at this time.  There doesn’t seem to be a working website for the product and it was impossible to find a list of ingredients used in this under eye cream.  Of course, there is no clinical test results provided. either.

Some of the retailers’ websites did include some videos showing the effects of Eyesential.  A dab of the cream is gently rubbed into the skin beneath the eye.  The directions instruct you to wait 3 minutes for the cream to dry completely.  At the end of that time, the area should be less puffy, lighter and brighter, and you will no longer see lines and wrinkles. The effects are temporary and are said to last about 10 hours.

Every once in a while, something revolutionary happens in the world of anti-aging skin care.  Voss Laboratories, the makers of Amatokin Eye Cream, would like you to believe that this is happening now, with their Amatokin product line using “stem cell” technology.  Their claim is that their products employ stem cell technology to rid the fragile skin under your eyes of puffiness, dark circles, discoloration, lines and wrinkles in as little as 28 days.  Let’s look a little further into how this new technology works.

Amatokin Eye Cream Ingredients and How They Work

The formula behind Amatokin Eye Cream is said to have been originally created in a top secret Russian lab, while attempting to find a solution for the skin of severe burn victims.  The makers saw what they had, and realized it could work to correct the problems of natural aging as well.  It doesn’t contain actual stem cells.  Instead it is supposed to work with the wealth of stem cells already present in skin to replenish and regenerate new skin cells, reversing the damages of time and revealing younger, fresher skin.

The problem is, there is no explanation of how Amatokin Eye Cream works or the revolutionary science behind it.  There used to be an official Amatokin website, but it appears to have been taken down.  With a little digging, we were able to come up with an ingredients list.  Amotokin Eye Cream contains a couple of peptides to help stimulate the production of collagen, but so do a lot of other anti-wrinkle creams.  There is also yeast extract, which contains proteins and amino acids to stimulate cells not unlike peptides, but this is also fairly common, though less so than traditional peptides, in skin care.

While Amatokin makes a lot of bold claims, it would be wise to take a look at the advantages and disadvantages to be found from using this product.

Conclusions

There is a lot of interest in and talk about stem cells and how they may one day be able to cure serious diseases and chronic conditions.  It would appear that Voss Laboratories has tried to use this interest to entice hopeful women to spend a significant amount of their hard earned money on  Amatokin Eye Cream.  Without explanation, they tell you that this futuristic science is here today in the formula they created behind a shroud of secrecy.
