CelluDestock Review – Does it Work?

CelluDestock Review – Does it Work?

CelluDestock Overview

Vichy CelluDestock Intensive Treatment for the Appearance of Cellulite is a big name for a tube of anti-cellulite cream, but because it’s manufactured by a well respected company, we hope the results are big as well.  The company has introduced CelluDestock and claims it diminishes cellulite quickly and leaves skin smoother and more attractive.  Does this anti-cellulite treatment live up to the Vichy reputation?

CelluDestock – Its Ingredients and How it WorksCelluDestock

A large majority of women in the US have cellulite and some men do, too, so the anti-cellulite business is big. New products are constantly being brought on the market and they all claim to be the best and most effective. Out of all the companies manufacturing such products, however, CelluDestock is one of the few anti-cellulite creams that offers clinical proof of its effectiveness.

The official Vichy website is user friendly and offers detailed information about each of their products and CelluDestock is no exception.  When you visit the site you’ll find that the results of clinical trials are provided, stating that participants noticed visibly smoother skin in just 7 days and significant reduction of cellulite within a month.

The website does provide a complete ingredients list as well.  The formula contains 5% caffeine, an agent that stimulates metabolism and encourages the elimination of toxins and excess fluids.  The Lipocidine™  in the cream  is meant to promote Lipolytic activation so fat storage will be reduced in the cells, keeping cellulite at bay.

The directions say to use CelluDestock twice a day and massage the cream into the problem areas. It is reported that it dries quickly and does not leave a greasy feeling.

Where to Buy CelluDestock

CelluDestock is available at the official Vichy website and costs $39.50 for a 6.74 fl. oz. tube.  It is also available at numerous online retailers such as Amazon, where the same size tube is available for $32.50.  The manufacturer does offer a 30 day guarantee but there are some limited return restrictions.

CelluDestock Pros

  • Informative website
  • Clinical test results provided
  • Complete ingredients list at site
  • Well respected manufacturer
  • 30 day return policy
  • Moderately priced

CelluDestock Cons

  • Limited return policy
  • Some negative reviews online but outnumbered by positive ones

Our Conclusions

We expect good things to come from Vichy and it seems that CelluDestock is going to stand up to the company’s reputation.  The website offers evidence of the cream’s effectiveness and it is moderately priced compared to many similar products.  If you are looking for an anti-cellulite treatment, we believe CelluDestock could provide the results you are seeking.

Cellulex Anticellulite Gel Review- Does it Work?

Cellulex Anticellulite Gel Review- Does it Work?

Cellulex Overview

Many people believe cellulite is a problem only women have to deal with and it is true that the majority of people with cellulite are females.  The truth is, though, men can get cellulite, too.  That’s why SeSDerma, a company that makes numerous skin care products, has developed Cellulex Anticellulite Gel and promotes Cellulex for both males and females.  Now you know it’s a product for the sexes, but you need to know if it works.

Cellulex – Its Ingredients and How it WorksCellulex

Cellulite is a tough problem to eliminate.  Often called such derogatory terms as hail damage, cottage cheese , or orange peel, cellulite gives skin a dimpled, bumpy appearance.  Cellulite is actually fat deposits built up beneath connective tissues, creating a waffled look. Most authorities agree there are various reasons people develop cellulite, including heredity, hormones, and lifestyle.

The makers of Cellulex claim that this gel will help diminish that dimpled appearance. The limited web page for the anti-cellulite topical treatment says that after beginning to use the gel you’ll soon notice the skin starts to appear smoother, more toned, and it will develop more elasticity.

The reason the manufacturer believes Cellulex is an effective cellulite reducer is because it contains ingredients that help promote drainage of excess fluids and “tonify the tissue”.  Some of those ingredients include extracts of ivy,  green tea, algae, and asiaticum centella.

The website provides  little information about Cellulex other than what’s already been mentioned.  There is not a complete list of ingredients available, nor does the site include any clinical evidence that the gel is effective.  There are no before and after pictures and no customer testimonials.  There isn’t even any clear directions for use or mention of how soon you should expect to see effects. No guarantee was found, either.

Where to buy Cellulex

Cellulex is available at the SesDerma secure website and costs $64 per tube.  This gel is also available at competitive prices at other online retailers, so shop around for the best price.

Cellulex Pros

  • Made by established company
  • Contains some natural ingredients
  • Secure website
  • May be used by men and women

Cellulex Cons

  • No evidence of effectiveness provided
  • Website is secure but uninformative
  • No complete ingredients list provided
  • No guarantee found

Our Conclusions

The best thing we can say about this product is that it’s made by a company that’s been around awhile and specializes in skin care products.  In fact, Cellulex gel may work effectively, but the website fails to provide any concrete information about the formula, its effectiveness, or why you should invest your money in the product.  For those reasons, we have to say no to Cellulex.

Cellutone Review – Does Cellutone Work?

Cellutone Review – Does Cellutone Work?

Cellutone Overview

Cellulite is a difficult problem to minimize, especially for a continued length of time.  There are numerous products on the market today that provide some relief while you are using the cellulite treatment, but when you quit using the product the effects disappear and you’re left to cope with the return of cellulite.  One company, Lavenir, has produced a product they say is a long lasting treatment.  It’s called Cellutone.  Does it work?

Cellutone – Its Ingredients and How it Works Cellutone

The Cellutone website explains what they believe causes cellulite.  Lipids are sources of energy stored in fat cells.  When the body needs fuel, lipids are released into the bloodstream by receptors. Certain factors like stress and poor nutrition create toxins that cloak those receptors and diminish their ability to release lipids.  Consequently, the lipids are captured in the fat cells, making the fat cells grow larger.  As the number of enlarged fat cells multiply, the skin takes on the unappealing dimpled look we call cellulite.

The website also says that Cellutone differs from other cellulite creams because it does not use ingredients normally associated with cellulite treatments, ingredients like caffeine or aminophyline, a caffeine-like derivative. Instead, the Cellutone formula combines a number of all natural ingredients that work better and longer.  Those ingredients include hydrolyzed whole egg, sweet almond oil, geranium, lavender and bay oils, and several other botanicals. We’re told the formula contains 70 vitamins, minerals, and proteins.

The directions say to use Cellutone twice a day after a hot bath.  You’re to cover the problem area with a thin layer of the cream but you are not suppose to massage it into your skin. The formula should then penetrate the skin and stimulate blood flow.  That action will clear the clogged receptors, allowing them to release the lipids and return the enlarged fat cells to their normal size. The website tells us you should see improvement in two weeks and soon reduce the dimpled appearance by up to 75%.

Where to Buy Cellutone

Cellutone may be ordered from the official website.  A 4 ounce jar normally costs $52.99 but is now on sale for $32.99 or you may order two jars for $59.  Although the the website talks about guaranteeing the product’s results, no details about a guarantee were found. Check terms of service carefully to be sure you are not being automatically enrolled in an autoship program.

Cellutone Pros

  • All natural
  • Says it has long lasting results
  • Complete ingredients list revealed

Cellutone Cons

  • No guarantee found
  • No clinical studies provided
  • Completely different explanation for cause of cellulite than medical sources

Our Conclusions

Cellutone is an all natural cellulite cream and that’s good, however we are disturbed by the fact that the website explains the cause of cellulite differently than do most medical professionals .  They say the treatment creates long lasting results but offer no proof for us to weigh.  This may be an excellent skin cream and it may even work temporarily to reduce cellulite’s visibility.  There is no harm in trying Cellutone, but we think you might be disappointed in the results.

RevitaShape Review – Does it Work?

RevitaShape Review – Does it Work?

RevitaShape Overview

Cottage cheese skin, hail damage, orange peel skin… those are all slang terms for cellulite.  Not very attractive, are they?  Neither is cellulite but it’s something many people…especially women…have to live with as they get older.  Manufacturers are working hard to perfect a product that will reduce or eliminate cellulite.  One such product  introduced by Dermavont Labs is RevitaShape.

RevitaShape – Its Ingredients and How it WorksRevitaShape

Cellulite is a layer of fat just below the surface of the skin.  This fat pushes against weak connective tissues and creates that lumpy appearance.  It is not a sign of obesity, but rather something that the majority of women experience sometime in their life.  It can start as early as  puberty and it mainly effects the thighs, abdomen, and fanny.  Cellulite usually gets worse as people age.

There are several factors that contribute to cellulite, including hormones, heredity, diet, and lifestyle.  Poor circulation  and an excess of fluid in stored fat makes cellulite more visible.  That’s why the RevitaShape formula includes several ingredients that address those issues.

Caffeine is one of the main active ingredients found in Revitashape.  Caffeine works as a natural sponge, soaking up excess moisture in the area where it is applied. It’s also an anti-inflammatory agent and helps reduce  swelling that contributes to the bumpy appearance of cellulite.

Other ingredients that help reduce fluid retention or act as anti-inflammatory agents include glaucine, bladderwrack extract, and Gotu Kola.  Ingredients meant to help break down excess fats include  l-carnitine, Coenzyme-A, and Bupleurum Falcatum Extract.  Retinyl Palmitate joins the formula to firm and tone the skin and Vitamins C and E are included because they are powerful antioxidants and help promote the production of collagen in skin. Together, all the ingredients are said to work in sync to not only reduce visible cellulite but also to improve overall skin health, tone, and texture.

The informative website tells us that RevitaShape produces results in as little as two weeks and the manufacturer does provide a 60-day money back guarantee. The product should be applied twice a day and massaged into the skin until thoroughly absorbed.

Where to Buy RevitaShape

RevitaShape is available at the official website.  The cost is $69.95 for a one month supply and discounts are available for larger purchases.  It was also seen at other online retailers but the price was higher than that offered by the official website.

RevitaShape Pros

  • 60-day money back guarantee
  • Secure, informative website
  • Uses approved cellulite-fighting ingredients
  • Positive online customer testimonials
  • 60-day guarantee

RevitaShape Cons

  • It’s expensive
  • Return process is complicated
  • Must be used continuously to maintain results

Our Conclusions

RevitaShape seems to contain the most commonly used anti-cellulite ingredients available today.  We like the fact that the manufacturer offers a 60-day guarantee even though there are several steps you must take if you decide to return the product.  The website is detailed and secure and offers good explanations for why each ingredient was chosen.  It seems to us that it would certainly be worth giving RevitaShape a try if it’s within your budget.

CelluScience Review – A Pill for Cellulite?

CelluScience Review – A Pill for Cellulite?

CelluScience Overview

Nine out of ten women get cellulite and some men do, too.  Cellulite looks like dimpled skin, giving it an appearance like cottage cheese or orange peel, and is most often found on the hips, thighs, belly, and butt. Researchers have not reached a general agreement about the cause of cellulite, but most agree that it has something to do with estrogen. There are countless creams, gels and gadgets sold to help reduce cellulite, but now  Santica USA Research Labs in Florida brings us an anti-cellulite dietary supplement in a capsule.  Does it work?

CelluScience- Its Ingredients and How it WorksCelluScience

Santica USA  is a subsidiary of Medestea Internazionale, a respected manufacturer based in Turin, Italy.  This company has had a similar product available in Europe for two decades, but CelluScience was only introduced to the US a few years ago.

The official website is informative and user friendly.  It includes contact information, complete ingredients list, a FAQ page, and testimonials.  The site tells us that CelluScience has undergone 9 blind trials and received positive results each time.  It reports that 94% of women could see an improvement in their cellulite in 47 days.

The site also explains that part of the cause of cellulite is the shrinking of connective tissues in the body that allows skin to pull inward and fat to push forward which explains the dimpled appearance of the skin. By using a patented Vascolarys Complex containing:

  • Fish Oil
  • Borage Oil (seed)
  • Grape Seed extract
  • Ginkgo biloba extract (leaf)
  • Gotu Kola extract (leaf)
  • Yellow Sweetclover extract (flower)
  • Butcher’s Broom extract (rhizome)
  • Olive extract (fruit)

and a proprietary blend of:

  • Bladderwrack extract (thallus)
  • Vitamin E
  • Orange Essential oil (peel)
  • Rosemary essential oil (leaf)
  • Vitamin B6
  • Lipoic acid
  • Folic acid
  • KI (potassium iodide)
  • Selenium

CelluScience says it results in reduction of cellulite and provides other benefits such as toning and firming, improved micro-circulation, a speedier metabolism, and a wealth of antioxidants.

The directions say to take three Celluscience capsules a day, two in the morning and one at night, for 90 days.  You are instructed to do this at least twice a year, with 3 months of maintenance (1 pill a day) in between. The website also allows you to call the company for a personal consultation to determine a customized schedule for taking CelluScience. It is suggested that the gel caps be taken on an empty stomach and that if you are taking prescription medications or are nursing or pregnant you should check with your physician before taking any dietary supplement. The company does offer a 30-day guarantee but the return instructions look rather complicated.

Where to Buy CelluScience

CelluScience is available at the official website, however, I found the pricing to be confusing and a bit deceptive if you don’t look closely.  It says get a 3-month supply for $69.93 but if you read it in its entirety it says it will be 3 payments each of $69.93.  It mentions buy 2, ge 1 free, and free shipping, then further down you see a $29.99 shipping charge.  The free club membership is also mentioned and I am always leery of those.

CelluScience was seen at other sites as well.  At Amazon, the capusles sold for $110 for  90.

CelluScience Pros

  • All natural
  • Official website informatiave
  • Complete ingredients list available
  • Clinically tested
  • Has been mentioned in major
  • magazines

CelluScience Cons

  • Expensive
  • Contains an ingredient sometimes used as a laxative
  • Complicated schedule
  • Complicated return process

Our Conclusions

The clinical trial results for CelluScience are impressive.  The all natural ingredients are rich in vitamins and antioxidants.  The website does not fully explained why these ingredients are effective, but several of them are known diuretics that help drain fluid from the fatty areas and at least one ingredient is sometimes used as a laxative.  If you can afford to spend about $70 a month for an anti-cellulite product, you may want to try CelluScience, though I would avoid joining their club.  That normally involves difficulties if you choose to drop your membership in the future.

BodyLift Anit-Cellulite Thigh Cream – Does it Work?

BodyLift Anit-Cellulite Thigh Cream – Does it Work?

BodyLift Overview

Let’s face it; no one likes having cellulite.  That’s why there are so many anti-cellulite products on the market today.  One of those products is call BodyLift Anti-Cellulite Thigh Cream.  Though there is not a lot of information available about the product, it seems to sell well.  The real question, however, is does it work?

BodyLift Ingredients and How it WorksBodyLift

University Medical is the manufacturer of this ant-cellulite cream made especially for the thigh area.  There are actually two BodyLift creams available now, original and extra-strength.  There is no official website and I could only find the complete list of ingredients for the extra-strength version of BodyLift anti-cellulite cream so it’s not possible to compare the two.

Both formulas do contain Aminophylline, a known cellulite fighting agent.  The retailers of BodyLift claim that the formula is clinically proven but since there is no website there is no real way to see the results of the clinical trials.  The product claims to significantly reduce the dimpled appearance of cellulite within 4 – 6 weeks.  The instructions for the original BodyLift formula say to apply the cream once a day to clean, dry skin and the extra-strength version directs you to use it twice a day. The formula dries quickly and clearly so you can get dressed right away but it doesn’t smell very good while being applied.

The original formula can  be used on thighs or other areas where cellulite is a problem but the extra-strength formula says it should be used only on the thighs and particularly warns against using it on your breasts.  If you have sensitive skin, there is some possibility of allergic reactions.

Where to Buy BodyLift Anti-Cellulite Thigh Cream

Both versions of BodyLift are available at various websites.  At most sites it sells for $12.50 for the original or $12.95 for extra-strength.  Both tubes weigh 4.1 ounces. Directions state to apply the cream generously so the way you use the cream will determine how long it lasts.

BodyLift Pros

  • Contains Aminopylline
  • Affordable
  • Dries quickly and clearly
  • Claims to be clinically proven

BodyLift Cons

  • No official website
  • No ingredients listed for original BodyLIft cream
  • Doesn’t  smell good

Our Conclusions

Normally, the lack of an official website and a failure to find the complete ingredients list is enough to make me turn thumbs down on a product.  BodyLift may turn out to be the exception to that rule, mainly because it does contain a decent amount of Aminopylline and you don’t have to break the budget to by this product.  Those two facts make me conclude that BodyLift Anti-Cellulite Thigh Cream might be worth a try.  Even though there is no guarantee offered,  the investment is small so you don’t have much to lose and this product might really work.

Celluless MD Review – Does it Work?

Celluless MD Review – Does it Work?

Celluless MD Overview

Suppliers are always eager to fill demand and people are clamoring for a way to get rid of cellulite, so manufacturers are flooding the market with products meant to help eliminate the unsightly condition.  Creams and gadgets are constantly being introduced, all competing eagerly for a piece of the anti-cellulite financial pie.  One such device that has been advertised on TV and elsewhere is Celluless MD.  This is the successor to the original Celluless but uses the same basic vacuum massage technique.  Can you really suck away cellulite?

Celluless MD and How it WorksCelluless MD

Celluless Md says, “This new, improved portable vacuum therapy system combines gentle suction and efficient massage rollers to melt away fat and reduce sizes while helping you look and feel your best.”  The company thinks we should believe that rubbing and sucking at cellulite will make it go away.  Not only that, it claims that you’ll soon be able to wear smaller size clothing because you used this hand held massager on your belly, thighs, upper arms, and fanny.

There is one plausible part to that theory.  The sucking and massaging could stimulate blood circulation in the areas where Celluless MD is used and researchers have discovered that poor blood circulation does contribute to the build up of cellulite.

Apparently, there is no official website for Celluless MD so there is no where to learn more about the science behind the theory.

Where to Buy Celluless MD

Celluless MD is available at various websites, including Amazon and eBay.  The cordless massager is priced $47.50 at Amazon and is available at both higher and lower prices at other sites. No guarantee was found and one customer review at Amazon reported that the the pins that hold the rollers in the cup broke within two weeks.  The Celluless MD comes complete with two bell shaped cups but the reviewer reported that the second set of pins also broke soon after.  Unfortunately, without a website and no contact information provided on the packaging, this customer was left with a broken fat sucker and no way to repair it or get a refund.

Celluless MD Pros

I honestly had to work hard to come up with any pros for the Celluless MD but I did manage to find these:

  • Free orange peel cellulite cream comes with purchase
  • The massage feels stimulating

Celluless MD Cons

  • No website
  • No contact info
  • No guarantee
  • No evidence, scientific or otherwise, that the product has any effect on cellulite

Our Conclusions

The theory behind this product reminds me of the 60s when people were convinced that you could shake fat off by wrapping a band around your butt and letting a machine vigorously vibrate your body. Of course, that theory was disproved years ago and in my opinion, the Celluless MD will meet the same fate.  The company does not bother to provide a website, nor is there any guarantee located.  Those reasons alone are enough to prevent me from recommending this product.  I don’t know about you, but I’m sure there must be better ways to spend $50 than on the Celluless MD.

Lipolene Review – Does it Work?

Lipolene Review – Does it Work?

Lipolene Overview

Dimples are cute on your face, but not on your thighs. Cellulite is a problem that effects as much as 85% of the world’s female population and some men have cellulite as well.  That lumpy, bumpy, cottage cheese type fat that gathers around the belly, on the hips, thighs, and fanny is all too common.  There are conflicting thoughts on its cause with fingers pointing at excess weight, poor circulation,  heredity, diet, and other factors.  We do know that heredity does play  a role in cellulite’s appearance and that cellulite gets worse as we age.  There are multiple products on the market that say they can help reduce the appearance of cellulite.  Lipolene is a cream that claims it can dramatically improve the skin’s appearance and lessen cellulite.  Does it work?

Lipolene – Its Ingredients and How it WorksLipolene

No official website was found for Lipolene so there is a limited amount of information available about this cellulite cream. Here’s what is known:

Lipolene is manufactured by a company named Skin Doctors Cosmeceuticals.  The product does contain some ingredients that have been clinically proven to improve the appearance of cellulite.  Some of those ingredients include caffeine and Theobroma cacao, other wise known as cocoa.  These two ingredients are xanthenes and scientists know that xanthenes help speed up circulation and act as diuretics, which helps eliminate excess fluids and restructure cells.

Some of the other active ingredients in Lipolene include:

  • Forksolin – an herbal ingredient that is believed to stimulate fat loss
  • Seaweed – to restore elasticity to the skin and detoxify and cleanse
  • Gotu Kola – for strengthening connective tissue and improving blood circulation
  • Rosemary oil – a natural diuretic
  • Salicylic acid and apple juice – used as exfoliants
  • Aloe Vera – a natural moisturizer that helps re balance the skin’s PH level

The theory is that this combination of ingredients works to break down fat, decrease water being held in fat cells, and smooth, tighten, and firm the skin, making the cellulite less noticeable.  Lipolene manufacturers promise you will see optimal results within 8 weeks of begining regular topical applications to cellulite trouble spots.

Where to Buy Lipolene

Lipolene is difficult to find online or in any US retailers.  The only websites found to sell the cellulite cream were UK sites and the prices  averaged about 20 pounds (approximately $31 US) and you must pay an international shipping fee.

Lipolene Pros

  • Contains 9 active ingredients
  • Contains ingredients known to improve cellulite appearance

Lipolene Cons

  • Difficult to order in US
  • No official website
  • No guarantees found
  • No testimonials

Our Conclusions

Lipolene anti cellulite cream does contain ingredients that are known to temporarily improve the appearance of cellulite. Unfortunately,  there is no official website to provide us more facts about this product.  We’d really like to see more information about Lipolene before recommending it. Because it is not available from US retailers, it seems to us it makes more sense to try one of the many other cellulite creams available to purchase in this country.

Cellulean Review – Does Cellulean Really Work?

Cellulean Review – Does Cellulean Really Work?

cellulean real reviewCellulean Overview

We come across alot of fads and short lived products while researching on the internet, and we have seen all types of wrinkle creams, acne creams, and more that promise the world.  There are not too many cellulite creams that are touted on the net’, but Cellulean is one that is heavily promoted both online and off.  Targeting cellulite is never easy, and it can be quite frustrating after a pregnancy to even attempt to get rid of it.  Well, Cellulean promises to do just that, and do so in just a few weeks.  But how does it work?

What is Cellulean Cellulite Cream?

Developed by a gentleman by the name of Patrick Leddy, Cellulean is a natural alternative for cellulite treatment.  It works by helping to boost collagen production beneath the skin, which creates a firmer, more smooth skin after several days of usage.  The cream is easy to apply, and rubs in after just a minute or so, with no greasy residue or silk left behind.

Cellulean contains a number of potent ingredients, but the main one is called aminophylline, which was actually originally developed to treat asthma.  Sometimes referred to as “cutting gel”, aminophylline has found a use in reducing body fat beneath the skin when used as a cream.  The other main ingredient in Cellulean is caffeine which is basically used to boost the effectiveness of the aminophylline, but these claims are still under investigation.

Our Results With Cellulean

Unfair Billing and Cellulean

It can be hard to find some genuine reviews of Cellulean, simply because there are so many people (affiliates) promoting the product, but if you know where to look you can find some.  We did some research through some discussion boards, and the majority of the reviews painted Cellulean in a negative light.  While most were impressed with the results they got, many were furious for being charged more than once for the product, a process known in the industry as rebilling.

The simple fact is you can protect yourself from getting overcharged if you know what to do.  First off, if you do decide to order a free trial of cellulean, mark down the date that you ordered it on your calendar.  Also, you will want to write down the number to cancel the product on the calendar, or somewhere else that you will remember where it is.  It took me about 4 days to receive my trial, so that leaves about 10 days to try it out.  You need to make sure that you save the packaging and that you have the cancellation number.

If you really like using it, but don’t want to get rebilled for it, make sure you call them up and tell them that.  This way, you only get charged for the product that you have, and then you will get to use the rest of the bottle without having to send it back.

Recommendation

Cellulean truly does seem to work, but many believe that it is simply way too overpriced to even bother with.  The truth is, you need a cellulite cream that contains the same two primary ingredients found in Cellulean, aminophylline and caffeine.  Everything else is just a filler, and acts to make it smell and feel good.  There are plenty of other substitutes on the market that can help to reduce your cellulite, without spending a fortune or getting sucked into a rebill.  We have been using Cellulean for about a week and a half now, take a look at our video review above to learn about our results.
